Death Valley

This compact and very active trip will lead you to many of Death Valley’s geological wonders and most spectacular hikes. Hike and scramble through Red Wall Canyon, Fall Canyon, Mosaic Canyon, visit the Racetrack Playa where rocks mysteriously move some hundreds of feet leaving their tracks permanently etched in an ancient lake bed, night hike the Mesquite Sand Dunes under brilliantly star lit skies and much more. All hikes easy to moderate in difficulty.
Lodging: Camping at Furnace Creek Campground, showers, swimming available. Travel is via 15 passenger van equipped with onboard video, charging outlets for all electronic devices - laptops, phones and ipods. Participants are responsible for personal food and drinks, camping supplies. Meal planning and trip logistics discussed in detail during the pre-trip meeting scheduled one week prior to departure. Scheduled departure time is 8:00 AM Mar 26 and return in 8:00 PM Mar 29.
